Thames Valley Park is a new build development that offers a mix of commercial buildings which has attracted many progressive international businesses (i.e. Microsoft, Digicom 360 and Oracle) and has large open green spaces offering waterside facilities as well as a 22 acre nature reserve ideal for people looking for space to enjoy with colleagues. Restoration of the site started in 1988 and was undertaken by the property developers Speyhawk and then purchased by Oracle. The park, water meadows and nature reserve were developed to create a natural flood plain to protect the commercial development but at the same time working to increase the biodiversity of the local habitat. Thames Valley Park is well situated for logistics and doing business as was built at the northern point of the A3290 (formerly part of the A329M) giving good connections to both the M4, M25 and A4 into Reading.
Hazlemere were contracted to do all the fenestration works to a roof top extension of one of the retail units at Thames Valley Park to create more office space. Hazlemere Commercial also supplied aluminium Brise Soleil to the outside of the building. There were quite a few very large double glazed sealed units that had to be carefully lifted into position.
Hazlemere Commercial were awarded the contract by OD Interiors Ltd to design, draw up for approval and then manufacture and install dual colour (grey out, white in) Sapa Elegance 52 double glazed aluminium curtain walling, dual colour Sapa Confort C125 lift and slide two section aluminium double glazed doors and dual colour Sapa Stormforce ST double glazed commercial aluminium entrance doors.
