Hazlemere Commercial worked directly with their client, Salesian College, in this project to replace the entire 2-storey elevation of the science block. Salesian College, is an independent Roman Catholic school in Farnborough, Hampshire, England. It admits boys from the age of 11 to 18, and girls in the Sixth Form.
Undertaken entirely during the 2006 summer holiday, the work had to accommodate a huge amount of school equipment which had been left in-situ. This included science benches, cupboards, gas taps and sinks, all of which were located within the laboratories and were directly adjacent to the windows being replaced. The customary care that Hazlemere Commercial take with client property meant that this major refit proceeded without a hitch, and all equipment was restored to its correct location as part of the service provided.
The installation of Elegance curtain walling and Dualframe casement windows, at a total project cost of £55,000, has greatly improved the learning environment for Salesian students.
