At Hazlemere Commercial, we work closely with local authorities. We have completed many refurbishment projects on local authority buildings across the South East of England. These projects have included designing and installing windows, doors and curtain walling for county council offices, colleges, and leisure centres.
During these projects we have developed strong relationships within the community, building links between our installers, sub-contractors and local civil servants and business people. Many of our larger scale projects have involved in depth discussions between our design team and council officials to reach the best solution which will benefit the local community.
Working in the commercial sector has often led us into contact with local politicians. In 2012, we were visited at our factory by High Wycombe MP for the Conservative party Steven Baker. Steven Baker is a popular local politician, he was re-elected in the 2015 general election with a huge majority of votes. His popularity is due to a genuine desire to build a better society for us all to live in.
With a background in engineering, Mr. Baker showed a real interest during his tour of our factory. Following the factory visit, he was so impressed by our facilities that he employed Hazlemere to install a new orangery at his High Wycombe home.
Orangery installation project

The project at Steven Baker’s family home consisted of installing a brick built, double glazed orangery spanning the width of his detached home. Outside, the orangery’s brickwork perfectly matches the existing property. A two section bi-fold door opens out onto a new patio area with colour co-ordinated paving slabs and a low level boundary brick wall. The lantern roof features a Victorian style ridge with ornamental roof crests.
Inside, the lantern roof lets in an abundance of natural light, creating a bright and airy living space. A fully plastered perimeter ceiling incorporates built in down lights which are modern and stylish. The floor is tiled with grey slate effect slabs which match the exterior for a seamless look in the Summer months.
