Hazlemere Commercial has been fortunate enough to receive various accolades throughout our three decades in business and being recognised by the London Stock Exchange is undoubtedly one of our proudest achievements.
Hazlemere has been listed in the LSE’s ‘1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2016’: a landmark report identifying the UK’s most exciting and dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Hazlemere Commercial gained inclusion in this third annual report after passing the selection criteria which “required companies to have shown not just growing revenue over the past four years, but also to have outperformed their sector peers.”
Hazlemere Commercial, together with the other 999 firms, are growing at an average of 50% a year and because this exceptional growth tends to be based on innovation, rather than the strict cost control typical of large cap, the jobs we collectively create are usually higher skilled and higher paid.
Supported by the government and many of our major political parties, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group, Xavier Rolet, explained that the report is designed to “…shine a light on what we know to be true: that these companies are the engine of the UK economy.”
Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, commented: “This year’s list of 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain is truly remarkable. The businesses and entrepreneurs in the report are a fantastic illustration of the UK’s pioneering, entrepreneurial spirit and our nation’s capacity to produce world-class innovation.”
A total of 148 companies similarly based in the South East were included in the list and we’re immensely happy to be flying the flag for the glass and glazing industry. As independent aluminium designers, manufacturers and installers, Hazlemere Commercial are thrilled to have their achievements acknowledged by such an august body.
