Jointly they are responsible for generating commercial leads and enquiries and servicing them through to identifying the most suitable specification, pricing and generating drawings and finally securing an order. Hazlemere have formed close working relationships with a number of contractors and local authorities resulting in a large proportion of their work being repeat business which is testament to the quality of the service Hazlemere Commercial provides. In recent years Hazlemere Commercial have been involved in a number of award-winning projects and also designed, fabricated and installed a very complicated project that was the focus of Grand Designs. The Decagon House in Oxford featured in series eight, episode two of the television programme.
The commercial contracts division is responsible once an order has been placed to deliver the client’s project on time and to the standard they are renowned for. The process entails Hazlemere Commercial’s Surveying Department visiting site, taking details of the existing building or working from architects’ drawings, then producing drawings for approval. Once approved, cutting lists will be issued to procurement to enable materials to be delivered to our state-of-the-art fabrication facility where the Head of Fabrication will programme accordingly. The project is then handed over to the Hazlemere Commercial Project Managers who will liaise with the client to produce detailed programmes and documentation to comply with all Health & Safety requirements. The Hazlemere Commercial contract administrator liaises between the team making sure all paperwork is in the correct place and supports the Project Managers where required.
Over the years the commercial department has experienced substantial growth with larger and ever more demanding projects. These projects have been delivered on time and to a standard expected by Hazlemere Commercial’s clients, reflecting the flexibility of the department in being able to adapt in these demanding times. Any double-glazing manufacturer and installer that has been trading for over 30 years is certainly unusual in this current climate, especially as sadly so many of Hazlemere Commercial’s competitors are no longer in business, due to the somewhat cut throat nature of the double glazing industry. The company’s hard working staff and commitment to customer satisfaction has helped to ensure this success.
