One of Hazlemere Commercial’s Directors, Mark Austin, who has been working at Hazlemere Window Company since 1st March 2008, has twice been elected by Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) Members as the Chairman of the GGF Windows and Doors Group, who jointly meet quarterly in Birmingham with the GGF Conservatory Association, whose Chairman is Phil Goult, the Head of Conservatory Sales for Anglian. Along with other GGF Chairman of Home Improvement Groups, both Mark and Phil sit on the GGF Home Improvement Executive, which itself meets four times a year, usually at the Glass and Glazing Federation’s HQ in Southwark, South-East London.
Back in 2018, Mark was elected by the GGF Home Improvement Executive to be the GGF Vice-President and since then he has sat on the GGF Board of Directors. He was subsequently also then elected as the Glass and Glazing Federation President and GGF Board Chairman to serve from 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2022. All these roles are totally voluntary, with no remuneration payable, as the GGF is a Trade Association whose members represent many different companies who work within the glazing industry, including glass manufacturers, aluminium and UPVC window and door system houses, plus double glazing manufacturers and installers (like Hazlemere Commercial) etc.
