Back in October 2015, Buckinghamshire County Council appointed Hazlemere Window Company as their Sole Contractor on a three year contract, for the supply and installation of high performance double glazed aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling. The first years batch of replacements, covering 27 individual sites, 22 of which being schools within Bucks, had to be installed by the end of March 2016. With this extremely tight timescale, number of sites and term time installations, Hazlemere Commercial are delighted to announce they have now completed the challenging task set by Buckinghamshire County Council last Autumn and have been very encouraged by the positive feedback from each of the building users.
Hazlemere Commercial have been dealing with Buckinghamshire County Council for more than 10 years, and were privileged enough in 2013 to be awarded the £2.3m contract to design, manufacture and install 1,500 replacement windows in County Hall Aylesbury with Sapa Building Systems Dualslide thermally broken vertically sliding double glazed aluminium windows. This prestigious project was completed on time and on budget by Hazlemere Commercial in March 2016. The windows were specially designed to be able to be tilted inwards for cleaning, but with a special safety locking device, so only authorized personnel could carry out this work, given the safety issues involved in this very tall 12 storey building.
