The Hazlemere Group initially sought and gained ISO accreditation in 2001 after realising that many clients – particularly commercial clients – sought this internationally-recognised assurance from their product and service suppliers.
ISO 9001 accreditation requires the company to have detailed procedures covering the company organisation, the materials and products they use, their manufacturing and installation processes, and their service delivery to clients. Subject to regular review and updating by a system of internal audits, these procedures ensure that every aspect of product and service delivery of the company’s core business is run to a high standard.
The company’s accreditation body, the internationally-renowned WQA, checks compliance with the Standard by annual inspection visits covering all aspect of accreditation. In October 2008, the Standard was revised and some key areas were strengthened. Although permitted up to two years in which to affect these changes, Hazlemere were delighted to be granted the enhanced accreditation. Hazlemere Commercial then passed the further enhanced criteria required to achieve ISO 9001:2015 in 2015.
Hazlemere consultant Mike Smith said “Over the years, ISO accreditation has proved to be worth its weight in gold. It provides the means by which all activities follow a carefully established set pattern, thereby eliminating most of the problems that can occur in an industry such as ours. Even if we do hit the odd snag, our procedures enable us to resolve it quickly and efficiently.”
