Hazlemere Commercial undertook this project for Epping Forest District Council under the LHC framework, whereby clients have the knowledge that a pre-agreed schedule of rates will be adhered to by the LHC approved contractor, in this case Hazlemere Window Company Ltd.
The windows were fitted into bespoke steel framework that Hazlemere Commercial designed and installed in order that the existing property could properly house the new energy saving, thermally efficient, thermally broken aluminium double glazed windows.
Hazlemere Commercial acted as the principal contractor on the project for this refurbishment of the Conder Building in 2010, and carried out the work around a fully occupied building, working closely with the District Council to ensure minimum disruption. The products used were a specially designed and fabricated bespoke steel framework, Sapa Dualframe 75mm wide white powder coated top hung casement double glazed windows and Kingspan cladding. The windows each have a lockable night vent facility, toughened safety glass and were fitted with restrictors for safety and security. Epping District Council were so pleased with the work done by Hazlemere Commercial that during Winter 2014, they placed a contract for £300,000 + VAT for replacement aluminium windows to be fitted to the adjacent Main Civic Office Building during 2015.
