In the Spring of 2016 Hazlemere Commercial completed a £308,000 + VAT replacement fenestration project at Burnham Grammar School in South Bucks, manufacturing and installing thermally broken double glazed replacement Sapa aluminium windows and doors. The project took an unexpected turn, when the first existing window was removed, revealing the presence of asbestos. Hazlemere had to therefore stop work right away and make the site safe. They then arranged for specialist and safe removal of the asbestos, before being able to resume the commercial aluminium windows installation.
The products fabricated for this project by Hazlemere Window Company at their 38,000 square feet factory in High Wycombe were Sapa Dualframe 75Si Casement Aluminium Windows and Sapa Stormframe ST Commercial Aluminium Doors.
So pleased were the Grammar School that their Headteacher Dr Andrew Gillespie decided to write a unsolicited letter praising Hazlemere Windows Operations Director Jason Bradshaw and Hazlemere Commercial’s Estimating Manager Jamie Lewis, along with the rest of team at Hazlemere Window Company. This is what his letter stated in full:-
“I wanted to write formally to thank you both and your team at Hazlemere Window Company for a seamless process of installing new windows into some of our existing buildings at Burnham Grammar School. Your handling of the whole process has been exemplary and the service level at each stage was outstanding.
As we are now aware, some of our existing buildings had asbestos which was not expected and your approach to finding solutions, being pro-active, minimizing disruption and delays and keeping the project within budget and on time showed that each member of your team from the Directors to the fitters were aligned, focused and had the same ethos.
Quite simply, your costing was the most competitive, your product was the best quality and your service and your workmanship was the best in class. I would look to use Hazlemere in projects going forward and would be happy to recommend you to future customers. With best regards”
