Hazlemere Commercial undertook a £2.5m contract to replace all the old inefficient windows that had been fitted when the London Borough of Merton offices were first built many many years ago. The work was completed in the Spring of 2014.
During a 6 month period, every single window in Merton Civic Centre was replaced by energy saving energy efficient aluminium double glazed windows, designed, manufactured and installed by Hazlemere Commercial. To enable this to occur, the entire front and rear of the building was “encased” in scaffolding to allow for the safe removal and disposal of the old fenestration, and fitting of the latest modern thermally broken aluminium products.
Hazlemere Commercial are independent double glazing designers, fabricators and installers based in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. They have dealt with several high profile high rise local government buildings like Merton Civic Centre (shown above), including Buckinghamshire County Council Offices at County Hall in Aylesbury in 2013.
