Working in a well known busy 5 star hotel in Central London requires careful planning and co-ordination to ensure that the primary function of the property is unaffected by the refurbishment schedule. As a consequence Hazlemere Commercial made sure that everything was agreed and arranged in advance, and then liaised closely with the Hotel Management and Staff to ensure that both the window and door replacement programme was strictly adhered to.

The first phase of the work, saw 47 replacement double glazed Sapa aluminium in-line sliding patio doors fitted to the balconies. There was no need for access equipment as Hazlemere Commercial were able to manufacture them in sections that were then transported to site, and taken up to each floor by their specialist commercial installers via the Hotel’s service elevator. Each door was fitted during the day, enabling each hotel room to then be available for occupation the very same evening.

The second phase saw 109 existing windows replaced. This part of the project was more involved as required external scaffolding to enable the windows to be properly and safely installed. The new windows required by the Hotel, were double glazed Sapa horizontal sliding aluminium windows. the fitting of which needed the same close liaison as phase one, with attention to detail and regard to the Hotel’s staff and customers being a priority for Hazlemere Commercial’s on-site Project Manger and their experienced fitting teams.
